Architectural model makers who place railings on a building in Fusion 360, SolidWorks or FreeCAD can bring them in as STEP, the ISO 10303 exchange standard. STEP Model Railing writes balusters, bars or rope at 1:24 to 1:100 or 28 mm as a faceted mesh, not an exact parametric CAD solid, every part scaled from real railings and never under 0.8 mm. Length, height, style and scale are chosen on the page. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also gives a 3D Print STL File that lies on its back for 3D printing without supports.
