STEP Gear Generator writes involute spur gears as ISO 10303 STEP for a gearbox assembly in Fusion 360, SolidWorks or FreeCAD; the teeth arrive as a faceted mesh body, not an exact CAD solid, so they suit fit checks more than further CAD edits. The module, teeth and bore are typed, a mate is added and the pair spins on screen at the exact centre distance, outlines checked never to cross; each has a 20 degree pressure angle and 0.15 mm backlash. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also outputs a gear 3D Print STL File for 3D printing with no CAD needed.
