Engineers share parts between SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape and FreeCAD as STEP, the ISO 10303 exchange standard, yet a part designed around a curved face can arrive with nothing flat to print on. The STEP Flat Base Cutter opens that file in the browser as a printable mesh, locates the level where the bottom turns into a solid footprint and previews the cut, which shifts 0.1 mm per nudge, before Cut Base caps it. Nothing leaves the computer, and StarForge 3D Modeling Software writes a 3D Print STL File ready for 3D printing.
