Trim Scanned Pots for Spiral Printing

Scanned pots and vases usually come off a 3D scanner as PLY, and their ragged bottom and open top need trimming before spiral printing. PLY Vase Mode Cutter reads the Stanford format, finds the bottom footprint and the highest single outline, cuts flat at both heights and caps each cut so the mesh stays closed. Vertex colours from the scan are left out. It then slices cleanly in vase mode in Bambu Studio, Cura, Orca Slicer or PrusaSlicer, and StarForge 3D Modeling Software saves a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing, nothing uploaded.
