H Columns and C Channels for Kit Builders

Checking a printed girder against a scan of a kit part or a real structure is easy in MeshLab or CloudCompare with PLY (Polygon File Format), the Stanford mesh format. PLY I Beam exports an I beam, H column, angle iron, C channel, T section, tube or rod at any size and length, with no plate under 0.8 mm. The H beam comes as wide as it is deep. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also saves a 3D Print STL File, each piece laid on its widest flat face for 3D printing.
