Render the Moon with Real NASA Terrain

Blender, Maya and Cinema 4D read Wavefront OBJ without a plugin, so the OBJ Moon Globe is a quick way to render a lunar or Martian sphere with real terrain. The surface comes from NASA LRO LOLA heights, or NASA MGS MOLA data for Mars, with the body, diameter and height stretch chosen so craters and highlands read clearly. A 15 mm flat at the south pole and a separate ring stand let it sit on a desk once printed, and StarForge 3D Modeling Software also hands over a 3D Print STL File pair for 3D printing.
