LightWave 3D from NewTek saves its models as LWO, the LightWave Object format, organized in layers and named surfaces, and it powered years of TV and film effects work. Old LightWave libraries hold ships, creatures and props that collectors now want to print. The LWO to STL Converter reads those layers and writes a 3D Print STL File in the browser, free and with nothing uploaded. Surface shading is dropped, since STL holds geometry only.
