Site planners sometimes need a building from a Google Earth KMZ as context inside a CAD model. The KMZ to STEP Converter takes the COLLADA geometry from the Zipped Google Earth Model and writes ISO 10303 STEP in the browser, free, with nothing uploaded. That STEP is a faceted mesh, not a parametric solid, so it serves as surrounding context rather than editable design. It helps place new work beside existing buildings. StarForge 3D Modeling Software can also output a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing.
