Align Google Earth Buildings with Scans

Urban researchers comparing historic Google Earth building models with new scans often use CloudCompare, which reads Stanford's Polygon File Format. The KMZ to PLY Converter extracts the geometry from a Zipped Google Earth Model and writes PLY in the browser, free, with no upload. The building can then be aligned with point clouds or measured. Placement data is left out. Printed city blocks are possible as well, since the tool saves a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing within StarForge 3D Modeling Software.
