Seeing an old IGES part at full size on an iPhone takes USDZ, the zipped Universal Scene Description format behind Apple's AR Quick Look. The IGES to USDZ Converter tessellates the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification surfaces and writes USDZ inside the browser, free, with nothing uploaded. A machine part or product shell can then be placed in a real room for review. The exact surfaces become triangles.
