IGES, the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, still turns up from older CAD systems, CATIA, Rhino and CNC shops as .igs or .iges files full of exact curved surfaces. Slicers cannot read surfaces, so the IGES to STL Converter tessellates them into triangles and writes a 3D Print STL File in the browser, free and with nothing uploaded.
