Engineering Surfaces as Mesh Research Data

Mesh processing and geometry research often begin with the Object File Format, whose header, vertex list and face list are easy to parse. The IGES to OFF Converter tessellates an Initial Graphics Exchange Specification model and writes OFF right in the browser, free and with nothing uploaded. Real engineering surfaces become test data for remeshing, simplification or learning code. Units and surface definitions do not carry over. The same IGES can become a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing in StarForge 3D Modeling Software.
