IGES files, from the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, still feed older CAD and CAM software like Rhino, Mastercam and CATIA, and the IGES Threaded Container writes the jar and cap for them. These come out as faceted meshes of flat triangles, not true CAD solids with editable surfaces, so they serve as reference geometry. Inside diameter and height are typed; a 3 mm trapezoid thread with 0.4 mm thread clearance and a knurled grip finish the design.
