IGES Repair StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Fix Open Seams in Old IGES Surfaces
IGES, the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification dating from the early 1980s, still carries surfaces out of CATIA, NX and legacy CAD archives, and its trimmed patches often leave slivers and open seams once turned into triangles. IGES Repair fills those holes, merges overlapping surfaces and intersecting pieces, then remeshes and decimates the model into a watertight solid. What comes out is a faceted 3D Print STL File that a slicer accepts for 3D printing. StarForge 3D Modeling Software fixes old IGES parts without reopening them in the original CAD package.
