Plant and industrial layouts drawn in CAD often trade parts as IGES, and IGES Pipe Fittings writes straight, 90° elbow or tee pieces in it, as faceted surfaces rather than an exact CAD solid. Round pipes carry a flange and bolt heads, a rain gutter is an open half-round channel whose tee becomes a downspout outlet, and ducts are rectangular with seam lines. Type, piece, size across and length are set. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also saves each piece as a 3D Print STL File, walls at least 1.6 mm, laid flat for 3D printing industrial terrain.
