IGES Name Sign StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Raised Letter Name Plate for Sign Shops
Sign shops running older CAD and CNC software, such as engravers and routers, still import IGES, the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification. IGES Name Sign saves a custom name plate there: a rounded 4 mm plate, raised letters 1 mm proud and screw holes for a 4 mm countersunk screw unless turned off. The file holds faceted geometry rather than an exact CAD solid. The words and width are typed in, and a 3D Print STL File of the same sign comes from StarForge 3D Modeling Software for 3D printing at home.
