Older CAD programs that only read the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification can still take a photo panel from the IGES Lithophane Maker, as a faceted mesh rather than an exact parametric CAD solid. One photo drop and a pick of Flat, Curved or Cylinder and a Width set it up; dark parts print thick and light parts thin, 0.8 to 3 mm inside a 3 mm frame, and the flat version stands on its own stand. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also exports a 3D Print STL File, best for 3D printing upright in white filament.
