Studded Brick Model for Rhino and CATIA

The old common tongue of CAD and CAM, IGES, the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, is still read by Rhino, CATIA and Mastercam. IGES Building Bricks write a custom brick or plate into it as a faceted mesh, never an exact CAD solid, so the shape can sit beside other parts in a drawing. Any stud count is built at the 8 mm pitch of LEGO-compatible parts, with round tubes below and pins on one-wide pieces. For 3D printing, StarForge 3D Modeling Software also has the 3D Print STL File and a five-plate Fit Test Strip in 0.05 mm steps; unaffiliated with the LEGO Group.
