Hollow Old 3D Studio Models Into Boxes

Legacy models in the Autodesk 3D Studio format, from the days of 3D Studio for DOS and early 3ds Max, still fill free model archives with statues, vases and vehicles. Hollow 3DS repairs such a mesh if it is open, cuts it at the chosen height, starting from the middle, and empties it to the set wall. A 2 mm lip on the bottom half locates in a groove on the top half, and two files result with the top flipped onto its cut face. A hollow shell saves resin, and each half is a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing in StarForge 3D Modeling Software, with nothing uploaded.
