GLB Sundial Generator StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Sundial for Your Town's Latitude
A school science project or astronomy club page can show its sundial in the browser as a GLB, the binary glTF file model-viewer, three.js and Sketchfab display without plugins. The GLB Sundial Generator makes a horizontal dial for a town found through OpenStreetMap place search, with a gnomon angled to the local latitude, raised hour numbers and hour lines calculated as tan(angle) = sin(latitude) x tan(15 degrees x hours from noon). The dial size is typed. For 3D printing, StarForge 3D Modeling Software saves it as a 3D Print STL File that reads true once aligned.
