OpenCascade BREP files from FreeCAD describe exact surfaces, so Fix BREP Normals first tessellates them into triangles, where a reversed face shows up in red on the model. The download is remeshed with every face pointing the right way. Because the result is a mesh, the original exact solid is not kept, which is what a slicer wants anyway.
