VRML, the Virtual Reality Modeling Language, and COLLADA both served early web and virtual world 3D, and some viewers still read only .wrl. The DAE to VRML Converter writes a Digital Asset Exchange model as VRML right in the browser, free, with no upload. Older educational and engineering viewers can then show SketchUp or virtual world content. Nothing has to be set up.
