DAE Splitter StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Break SketchUp Scenes Into Printable Parts
COLLADA, short for Collaborative Design Activity, is the Khronos Group's XML Digital Asset Exchange format that SketchUp, Blender and many older game tools export as DAE. Architectural models and game props saved this way often bundle many meshes together. The DAE Splitter reads the COLLADA file and splits it into separate parts, each remeshed into a 3D Print STL File, with floating bits under 1 mm dropped and nothing uploaded. StarForge 3D Modeling Software turns a SketchUp building or a prop pack into pieces ready for 3D printing.
