FreeCAD, CadQuery, build123d and other tools built on the OpenCascade kernel save their exact solids as BREP files. Slicers only read triangles, so the BREP to STL Converter tessellates the OpenCascade BREP and writes a 3D Print STL File in the browser, free and with nothing uploaded. Curved faces become flat facets and the exact solid is not kept in the STL. Script generated parts from CadQuery go straight to 3D printing without a FreeCAD export step, inside StarForge 3D Modeling Software.
