Colleagues on SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or Onshape expect ISO 10303 STEP rather than the native OpenCascade BREP that FreeCAD and CadQuery write. The BREP to STEP Converter reads the BREP in the browser and writes a STEP file, free, with nothing uploaded. The tool passes the part through a mesh, so the STEP is a faceted body and not the exact parametric solid of the BREP. It works for viewing and fit checks.
