3DS Mesh as IGES for Older CAD

Two formats from the same era meet here: Autodesk 3D Studio 3DS and IGES, the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification. The 3DS to IGES Converter saves a 3DS mesh as IGES inside the browser, free and with no upload. The IGES output is a faceted mesh, never true parametric surfaces, so it serves older CAD as a shape reference. Archived visualization models can reach CAD and CNC software this way. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also writes a 3D Print STL File from the 3DS for 3D printing.
