3DS Splitter StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Separate a 3DS Scene Into STL Parts
Autodesk 3D Studio's 3DS format dates from the DOS era of the early 1990s, and huge free model archives still offer furniture, vehicles and props in it, each mesh capped at 65,536 vertices. Those old files usually stack many objects into one scene. The 3DS Splitter opens such a file and separates it into its parts, remeshing each into a 3D Print STL File and dropping floating bits under 1 mm, with nothing uploaded. StarForge 3D Modeling Software gives vintage model libraries a second life as separate pieces ready for 3D printing.
