A gaunt scarecrow stands watch with a towering scythe gripped in one fist, its burlap sack head stitched down the middle and across a crooked grin. A wide witch hat with a notched brim and a bent tip shades two hollow eyeholes, while straw bursts from under the brim, at the cuffs and below the knees. A tattered coat cinched with knotted rope falls over baggy breeches and strapped boots, and banded plates guard one shoulder. The long curved blade arcs high from a wrapped snath, and the free hand hangs open at its side.
