A small elf owl sits calmly on a long mossy branch, its round head turned forward and its large eyes fixed ahead. Every feather is sculpted as a layered scale-like pattern, from the speckled breast to the folded wings and short tail. The branch is thick with moss and lichen, with curling twigs sprouting at the far end and tiny talons gripping the bark.
