Eagle sculpture perched upright with a heavy hooked beak, a stern brow and a thick ruff of layered neck and chest feathers. The folded wings carry long overlapping flight feathers that sweep back into a fanned tail, and each leg is feathered down to scaly feet with four curved talons. Every feather is sculpted individually, giving rich surface texture across the back, breast and head. It stands on its own legs without a base, so it suits a display shelf, a wildlife collection or a classroom study of birds of prey.
